Click meSadly, the Youtube Code doesn't work here - of course it's Dailymotion, but it could have been... xD So yeah, here we go... x3 The Productions seems to be pretty proud of the German, Japanese and Kantonese Versions as they are shown pretty often... the only other language that appears for one time would be Italian. Lol - biased xD But I can assure you, whatever they say about Mushu's German Voice actor is true =) He's a Legend over here and just btw going to turn 60 in 4 days! (the 22nd July 2008) Let's see if I can do something special for that day... I really want to, but I don't think that I can wind up with something that fast... So anyways... Here's a little Multilanguage Video (For Mushu this time, but other characters will follow ^^) that came into being by the aid of our lovely Spirit ^^ Click meWhat do you think of the International voices of Mulan? Do you have a favourite? Are you more interested in the international songs, or not interested in other languages/dubbings at all? xD

Unfortunately I do not speak German, but when I saw the video you posted at deviantart the voice sounded alot like Mushu.
The first Mushu voice I heard was the Latinamerican Spanish version, which is actually good, kinda high-pitched but the guy did a good job, in my opinion. Needless to say, I like Mushu's voice in English, and in Mandarin too. (I could upload a video so you guys could decide whether if I'm right or wrong).
Has anyone seen Mulan in French??

Unfortunately I do not speak German, but when I saw the video you posted at deviantart the voice sounded alot like Mushu. [spam]*cough* [/spam] If your interested in the German voice actor there are other video with him on dailymotion. The problem with those is, that Otto Waalkes is such a fast talker (perfect for Mushu, heh? xD) that it would be a pain to sub, especially since I don't understand 100% of what he's saying myself (too faaast xD). Which would be... I only know Spanish xD Spanish is Spanish, though I know there are like 3 different versions out there... I know one version from Youtube and the version that's in the Multilanguagevideo in my first post... they're pretty high pitched too and sounded the same to me, so I guess that's the voice you're talking about ^^ The Spanish voice-actor really stands out from the whole rest due to his high pitched voice, which from the size of course fits Mushu the best - one would think (The Mushu-voice in the German DVD menue is highpitched, too btw Click here for Demo). The owner of the Youtubevideo told me that his Spanish VA is a comedian too ^^ To be honest, when I first heard Mushu's English voice I didn't like it oo" It was too deep and too loud for my opinion. Now I got used to his voice, since the file I'm editing my videos with is English. Nowadays, I believe that this voice kinda emphasizes Mushu's immortality. And the fact that he's loud-mouthed of course *cough* I only know the Chinese voice by now, I think that's something different... so go ahead... I love different voices x3 Only snippits... I have French subitles, but there is no audio on the DVD. Though from WHAT I've seen I really start to like his French voice actor =D

I'm not quite sure how many Spanish versions of the movie exist, but they usually have the Spanish version for Spain, the Spanish version for Latinamerica (usually done with Mexican actors or singers), and there's also the Spanish version for Argentina. Because of the variations in the dialects there's always a need to have the three versions. There are variations in the use of vocabulary and another thing is that they use different pronouns in Spain and in Argentina, which are rarely used in the Latinamerican countries...(well Argentina is actually part of Latinamerica, but they have their own different style Lol). Anyways, I think that the one you saw is the Mushu from Spain (the voice is kinda similar, but the accent is different). I couldn't find alot of Mulan scenes from the Latinamerican version at Youtube...they're all about the songs. I'm gonna see if I can upload them...although I cannot guarantee the highest quality because I'd have to use the digital cam on the T.V. to get the video. Lol. ...However I also liked the Spanish from Spain Mushu I guess we can say they did a pretty good job with the voices of the Movie everywhere...I'm proud of this movie. Lol. Yeah it's different. Your description is accurate. Lol. But it definitely suits Mushu. In my case, it did not take me long to get used to the voice, but I guess it was because back then I watched alot of Eddy Murphy movies...like Dr. Dolittle, and I was accustomed to his voice. I guess that is the only logical explanation for me getting used to the voice so fast. Because the truth is that the Mexican Mushu is more high-pitched. That depends...'cause in China they have different dialects, (don't know excactly how many...but there's alot). The most known are Mandarin and Cantonese. Mandarin's the official one, most people speak and Cantonese is spoken in the Cantonese region... it is a bit more high-pitched than Mandarin. There's alot of Cantonese videos of Mulan on YouTube I happen to have the Mandarin version because I bought the Mulan special edition DVD sold in the US, and I guess it has all these versions because of the variation in the population. Anyways, it has the English, Latinamerican-Spanish, French and Mandarin versions of the movie. I'll work on that...once again I can't guarantee the best quality 'cause I'll have to do the cam-T.V. thing...hopefully it'll work. I saw it once like three years ago, I don't remember Mushu, but I remember I found Shang's voice weird. I guess it's the same thing that happened to you when you first heard Mushu in English. Lol.
