Definitely right.
All this very short sentences - each in a new line- bring kind of a staccato to the text, and with the blank-lines it loses too much speed :/

I was acually going for right as well, just because THAT is how it looked in the word document. If I had wanted all the spaces in first palce, I would have had them in the actual file as well already. I think the right version looks way more clean and smooth if you get my point. The Prologue is the first thing that you get to see of a story and however the quality of the text might turn out in the end, the Prologue as the whole package needs to be convincing for the reader to go on. The left one looks rather boring to me. I can't really grasp what people like so much about it, but if the votings tip over to left, I will gratefully have myself swayed to change it back - it's the readers after all that the story adresses. So give me reasons, please... I don't get it
