Ok...I'll be the one to mention it. Disney Channel has really been taken over by tweenie sitcoms and can very rarely be seen even airing anything animated (Phinneas and Ferb I think is the only one).
I was really fine with that for a while, Sonny witha Chance has it's moments and even the dreaded Hannah Montana is passable when focused on the brother and the guy friend...but then they had to go and mess with Toon Disney...the only one left airing any of the old cartoons! I mean, they still had Gargoyles and Aladdin sometimes, plus movies every day.
Now there are those tweenie live-action shows on there now as well. I'm sorry this has turned into a rant, but I just miss the old stuff. I don't want to wait until 4am to watch my cartoons, or have to search on the internet. There's a whole generation of kids that will have never seen Duck Tales, and that makes me sad inside.

Daw, don't worry, ranting is fine. On this occasion - I don't even get to see Disney Channel and Toon Disney here, because these are seperate "must be paied" channels that don't merge with our regular TV-programm. A friend of mine has to record the BLoSC episodes that air on Toon Disney for me...
And heck Gargoyles and Dinosaurs and all that stuff, good times... Gargoyles are airing over here at Kabel 1 again early in the morning, I'm trying to get used to wake up early again to catch them =)
I've read of some people that share your anger that they're collecting DVDs of the old series now for the next generation of kids because they don't want them to grow up without Baloo, Ducktails or Darkwing Duck.

The new disney just isn't like the old disney stuff. I love the 90s stuff. Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Gargoyles... great times, great times. Modern cartoons and live-action shows just... don't have the same charm, in my opinion.

I say within all defense, Disney Channel needs to have more animated ones. I'm not so crazy about Phineas and Ferb. But while I am a HUGE Hannah Montana fan (sorry gang, but I am, don't stuff it down in your thoart if you don't agree with me.) I do miss some of the old stuff they used to have and I really hate how Disney XD is going down the notch. It's too boyish to me.

Well isn't it supposed to be... boyish? As far as I know, Disney XD is supposed to be a channel for boys because the regular Disney Channel turned to "girlish" with all the Hannah Montana and all xD

At least it isn't High School Musical... That went on for way too long. Three movies of that is three too many.
On-topic, Disney really does need much more animated shows.
*Also, I'm not dead yet. Wow.*

In the past you had amazing classics like The lion king,The hunchback of Notre Dame,Alladin and of course Mulan.
Now we have a slutty teenage girl who has 'the best of both worlds' but 'can't be tamed.'
Enough said.
