I want to see it . And indeed, finally a 2D film again xD What do you think of the princess being African American? I myself have no problems with that, but there seem to be some people on YT who do have problems with that xD

I am glad to hear you guys are going to see it. I actually plan to drag my siblings to see it with me when it comes out. And about her being an African American princess I think it's great because there hasn't exactly been one for Disney yet so this is a good thing.

Hey, I wanted to see it back when she was Maddy the chambermaid in the Frog Princess, so I certainly still want to see it!
Just the thought of having some TD animation (traditional) up on thw big screen again makes me too excited to care about much else, so all the so-called 'controversy' that's been going on around the film is just silly IMO.
I do think it's great to have an African American leading lady, since there hasn't been one at all to my knowledge in animation before, but that should just be another reason to take interest in the movie, rather than complain about it as some have been. Plus Anika Noni Rose has a great voice. I'm really excited to hear her sing as Tiana.
(Plus Goliath is the bad guy!)

Yeah she is an awesome actor and I don't know why people are complaining so much, it's just like some people are never satisfied you know?
I for one have been and still am really excited to see this movie. Keith David (Goliath from Gargoyles) being in it is just a plus along with Anika Noni Rose (DreamGirls) lol

I don't know why everyone is making a big deal about having the first african-american princess in the history of Disney. Sure it may shock some others, but I am okay with some of the new and old changes they're trying to do in the story that is of the movie.

I want to see it too, for the moment is so pretty.
By the way, in Spain is named "Tiana y el sapo", that's mean "Tiana and the toad". WTF seriously??, and not is a toad D: <

just about three weeks left until the US release, the soundtrack leaked online before it came out. I was a good girl though... only listened to ONE song.

I'm so excited about The Princess and the Frog ;D I've been freaking out about it since I first heard of it's exsistance XD I'm just so glad they're going back to the traditional way of doing things. I think Disney's getting its swing back (Wow, that sounded lame XD )

Less than a week left =) I think the movies are comming out pretty similar internationally. There was a time where it was assumed that this movie would come out in January next year, but it is in fact coming out this Thursday (the 10th Dec). Yay for that xD

Seen it twice now, and I do believe it is a two-viewing movie. The songs are different than in past films, and they feel a lot shorter, but I really did enjoy it .

Alright, I just come from seeing it and here is my review >D *clears throat*
Despite what everyone else is saying about this movie, and how amazing it is, my friend and me actually found some rather hard critique points in it. a) The music - we both dislike Jazz pretty hard (also the German voices were... well xD) b) The tension point. The tension point didn't pick up until a very late moment in the movie and was over way too soon. It's like there is this long and rather 'boring' development of all the stuff and at some point the tension explodes, will scare little children to death and is then over way too soon. I didn't like that. If I'm going to rewatch the movie it will surely appear ultra long to me until the last 20 minutes of it.
To cancel out the b) point of my critique there is some positive stuff to say about it as well though, because that character development that delayed the actual tension was really well done and not the classical love at first sight, what you would assume when seeing the theme of the movie. Also I thought the villain was an interesting character, he gives the movie quite some bonus + his German singing voice was the only one that actually caught me. Yes, it's sad but true.
[Possible Spoiler ahead]
Anyhow, the sidekicks were much cuter than I would have expected them to be, and ZOMG Disney broke the unwritten sidekick law. I actually was kinda surprised by that, since I technically already expected it to be undone within the next 2 minutes - which was not the case. Wow Disney, you pulled a number there, but you did it well.
[Possible Spoiler end]
Technically, I'd love to judge the animation flow that everyone praises so much, but we had some beamer problems in the cinema and during the beginning of the movie where this kinda fast pan was, you could barely recognize anything, Hardware problems, daw D8 The character design was ultra lovely though, especially Naveen is a good looking guy ;P - in a modern era too, that gave the movie a really interesting flair.
Anyway, the Frog Princess is definitely a movie that I would get on DVD when it's out, however I still prefer Mulan - my friend as well, and SHE'S the Tarzan nut xD
I'd give it... a lucky 4 of 5 stars ^^
I wasn't disappointed by the movie, but I expected it to be a little... more of everything.

I thought the movie was absolutely beautiful. The animation was simply breath taking. I loved it. I started tearing up at the begining of the movie because of how beautiful it was and how much I missed the classic Disney. SPLOILER WARNING!! and I certainly did not expect what happened to poor Ray! Generally in Disney, the only one who dies is the villian, anyone else just >poof< Oh, Look, They're Okay! But no, Ray didn't pop back to life. And I personally thought that was one of the best things about the movie. They made the audience sad for Ray, and made them happy again, BUT NOT BY MAGICALLY MAKING HIM LIVE! Instead, he gets to be with Evangeline (MEGA "AWW!") I thought that was just great END SPOILER!! So, yeah, I loved it.
