By scene Shan Yu dies behind the Imperial Palace, of all his army his archer is the only one left by his side. As he dies, his falcon swoops over him and flies so high he seems to vanish among the stars. The archer then spreads the rumour that Shan Yu went to heaven or something and seeks revenge.
Mulan is going to see the Matchmaker again - she has a little more status this time. As she arrives the doors slam open and Chien-Po, Ling and Yao come flying out.
Feeling hopeless, the soldiers launch into a parody rendition of 'What do we want? A girl worth paying for!'
The Mmr declares she can't marry any of them off, until she spots Mulan standing there looking pretty and says 'LOL try her, she's as hopeless as you'. At which point the soldiers realise they're looking at 'Ping' and go 'whoa'.
Mulan heads on in, looking a bit depressed. Meanwhile, Shang arrives with a secret mission for the heroes of China.
When he sees Mulan re-emerge from the Mmr's home, he's all WTF were you doing in there? before realising that of course, she's still unengaged, silly him. Reunited, everyone trots off to the forbidden city.
Back at the Fa pad, the Ancestors are discussing Mulan's new mission. It sounds important but they decide not to help (Mushu they sent already in the hope he becomes a casualty). Then one mentions that Mulan still has that unlucky cricket and they promptly send at least three of the other guardians. I'm thinking a rip-off of the Monkey King legend with Monkey Sandy and Pigsy. It seems the family guardians match the zodiac so if I make Sandy the tiger, it's win XD
Emperor outlines the plot we meet the princesses, have the shoe scene but darker (bound feet), and the stealth mission begins. The guardians catch up and each guard a princess.
the archer meets the mongols the Mongols have a SPY chi Fu's assistant thus, plots are hatched
Then we have the travelling, the pairings, the bonding - except Ting Ting is sarcastic, Mei is only learning not to be shallow and Su is just....Su. She copies whoever spoke last. She lacks spine. Mulan works best as a fish-out-of-water, so this time her role is reversed and she has to prove herself as an elegant woman to the top-status princesses.
Next part is the anti-Mulan/Shang stuff because that's central to film 2. Mushu will only play upon their natural conflicts, and only after a fellow guardian informs him about the husband taking over the ancestors (he was bragging about bringing Shang and Mulan together). Mulan is under the impression that Shang will still want her to be a model wife, because that is what a wife is, and Shang is very by-the-book.
I'm thinking of resurrecting the famous deleted scene. Or possibly he tells her he loves her just before everyone plummets into the gorge.
So, the plummeting off a cliff in the bridge scene. The bridge was cut by surprise by the Mongols (sneak tactics) and everyone fell except Mulan who has fast reflexes.
She believes they are dead and heads off to Qui Gong alone. Back at the gorge, the princesses etc are washed ashore, without the help of horses.
When the princesses and the soldiers have reached the borders between Qui Gong and China, they realise their duty. “This is our country,” states Ting Ting, spreading her arms wide to encompass the beautiful landscape. “And we shall be the ones to bring great honour to it.”
With that, they turn round and head back to Qui Gong.
They make a grand entrance and interrupt the ceremony.
So for 2.1......should the Mongols invade the wedding or is that too overdone? I want to do it but it might be odd since the baddies invaded the ceremony last time too. Either a stealth team is spotted by Mushu, or an invading army in the distance is spotted by Mushu.
Mushu rings the alarm gong, and he was up in the palace trying to find a way to help the wedding ceremony go well as the King was suspicious of the Emperor - who could easily abandon Mulan and betray Qui Gong after the Mongols were repelled. When the princesses arrived he was all 'phew China is saved again' until a Mongol and a Hun sneaked straight past him.
But it wasn't any old alarm gong he was ringing, and the Golden Dragon of Unity is awakened.
I'm thinking a rip-off of the Monkey King legend with Monkey Sandy and Pigsy. It seems the family guardians match the zodiac so if I make Sandy the tiger, it's win XD
THIS. Is awesome. Partly because I really, really liked the bits of Journey to the West I've read, but it would still be awesome in any other situation. And the rest of the basic plotline sounds pretty good overall.
I need help writing a scene full of chaos involving the entire camp and triggered by the arrival of Monkey, Sandy and Pigsy...
For the character development during the three days of journey, I have the three princesses slowly interacting with their escorts - first night is stories (including one about Fa Zhou and Li), second night is games (Ting Ting has a poker face ) and third night is the festival. (Eeeeeeexcellent ginger! )
I also need ideas for the arguments between Shang and Mulan, and how Mushu behaves. I'd rather he be honest with Mulan than the stupid tricks in 2.
I just remembered - the one thing I disliked about the Mulan canon in general: It needs moar Grandma Fa. Because everything Mulan-related totally needs more Grandma Fa.
Well there is a small part to do with the absolute mass of guardians around the Fa home - unexpected ones, and one is for Grandma Fa.
Also I'll mention which of the pagoda ghosts is Grandpa Fa...I'd love it to be First Ancestor Fa, which probably doesn't work logic wise but can you imagine them together? And him being all exasperated by her reckless ways? XD
I've chopped out Chi Fu's assistant, btw, and replaced that with Shan Yu's falcon being a ninja ~ how dead is Shan Yu? Maybe his archer is right and he possessed the falcon to seek revenge~~
My major plot is pretty much finished. Depending on how many spoilers/how much input people want, I'll post the whole thing here.
Mushu is your drug! - MSPaintR0cks yeah I saw your channel, and I could tell you're obsessed with him - Sarikalol Omg I know only one with such a total crackbrained Mushu fetish... sorry but that's how it is *g* - Amun I got a hug from Mushu for you ^^ - Spirit-of-Twilight
Well anyway - this all sounds rather good so far actually. But I do have a few worries about the fanfiction being invaded by characters. Too many character demanding screentime is a not-so-good thing.
Furthermore, do you want to know where you were going to add the cutscene? I thought would have made a great opening and be like a CAUSE for the Emperor to want that aliance, but that would bite with the Matchmaker thing. I could also see it as something where Shang and Mulan sneak off during the mission and leave the Guards to the Princesses (srsly, trust these guys a little...) I mean... they don't have to steal a SCROLL or something, they can steal anything... possibly important - unless of course the Mongols have stolen their map in the night ~
*SHOT*
Ignore me, I need my bed xD I will get something contructive together by tomorrow.

"Majority" what's that? You have a 50:50 so far xD I love to read about new guardians, I just think that they don't... really work here, you see? This is "Mulan 2" after all - and not "Siege of the Guardians". I don't mind that being a seperate story though.
